The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC), under the leadership of Mayor Andrew A. Swaby, JP, will honour Jamaican music icon Mr. Rodney Basil Price, O.D., affectionately known as “Bounty Killer,” with the conferment of the Key to the City of Kingston.

The historic ceremony will recognize his sterling and iconic contributions to Jamaica’s music industry, as well as his enduring legacy as a creative pioneer, poet, philanthropist, and powerful voice of the people.

The occasion will also mark the official renaming of Wenchman Road to Rodney Price Drive, paying tribute to Bounty Killer’s remarkable influence on Jamaican culture and his deep connection to the Seaview Gardens and Callaloo Mews communities, while celebrating the indelible mark he has made on Jamaica and the world.

Through these honours, the KSAMC celebrates the extraordinary cultural legacy of one of Jamaica’s most influential musical voices and acknowledges his lasting contribution to the nation’s identity, creativity and global cultural impact.
