I invite you to join me in extending heartfelt congratulations to Councillor Jesse James Clarke on his selection to participate in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

The IVLP is a premier professional exchange programme hosted by the United States Department of State. Councillor Clarke was nominated by the U.S. Embassy and subsequently accepted to participate in the specialized project, “Freedom 250: U.S. State and Local Government,” which will be held in Washington, D.C., from June 22 to July 10, 2026.

The programme is designed to provide participants with firsthand knowledge and exposure to the political, governmental, social, and cultural systems of the United States.

This achievement is a testament to Councillor Clarke’s dedication to public service and leadership, and we are confident that the knowledge and experiences gained through this distinguished programme will further enhance his contribution to the development of Kingston and St. Andrew and strengthen local governance within our municipality.
