Poor Relief Back to School Initiative

As the KSAMC continues to provide assistance to those in need, our Poor Relief Department continues to support the 274 children registered to the department, while partnering with members of the private sectors to provide back to school assistance to other students in need.

On Sunday, August 24, 2026, the KSAMC’s Poor Relief department partnered with Home and Things to host the Foundation to Success, back-to-school treat.  More than 100children from the Poor Relief Department, children of staff members and from the wider community received backpacks and school supplies.

On Friday, August 28, the Poor Relief Department partnered with Rora Scoops and Y-Ministry to host another back-to-school treat, which benefitted 110 students from the department. This benefitted students attending primary school through to university level. Beneficiaries received tuition and book vouchers. They also enjoyed a wide range of activities and refreshments.

These initiatives reflect the Corporation’s commitment to supporting children and young people from disadvantaged circumstances while reinforcing the importance of education.
