Caribbean Conference of Mayors- Day 2

Day 2 of the Caribbean Conference of Mayors (CCM) was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, and continued under the theme: “Honouring the Past… Embracing a Smart Future”. The day’s events included the Mayor’s Breakfast Forum hosted by Senator Delroy Williams, followed by a Council Meeting held at the Main Offices of the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation

PANEL DISSCUSSION – Building a Sustainable Future

The main focus of the panel discussion was to establish how municipalities could effectively engage with various stakeholders to build smart and sustainable cities across the region. Sustainable cities were conceptualized as cities designed with consideration for social, economic, environmental impact, and resilient habitats for existing populations, without compromising the ability of future generations to experience the same.

The panel discussion was moderated by Senator Mathew Samuda. The participants of the panel included:
